Trinity, Mercy Academy, and Lex Cath Costa Rica Trip 2024

 Last night we had our last parent meeting before the trip. Thanks for all that attended.  Here is a video of the meeting to go back and review what was said. Here is a copy of the document we discussed:  Pre-Trip Meeting 2024   1)     Please have a copy of your insurance card, pictures of passport, picture of vaccine card, and copy of travel insurance with your son/daughter. 2)     Field notebook (provided by Mr. Heintz) and pencils will be used when we get to Costa Rica. 3)     Pack trail mix or snacks for the airplane trip and money for food if needed. 4)     Allergies/Food Allergies - be sure we have these identified on the medical form, but please let Mr. Heintz know as well. 5)     Daily Blog Announcements: several students are assigned to update a daily blog.  Trinity High School has teamed up with Mercy Academy and Lexington Catholic High School to travel this coming summer to Costa Rica. Students will be working with Dr. Pinto and his staff at Finca la Anita and the Seeds of Change Research Labs to study leafcutter ants. Students will get to experience science on a whole new level, working in teams to complete a research project. We are looking forward to a great time.  Meet the adults... traveling with us this year is the Trinity coordinator, Mr. Patrick Heintz (this will be his 10th trip with Seeds of Change).  Also from Trinity, Mr. Seth Blakeslee (science teacher and world traveler).
